On June 2-10, the troop will go to Camp Alexander, which is located in Elevenmile Canyon, in the Pike National Forest. It is 2 miles south of Lake George, Colorado, and 45 miles west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Situated between 8200 and 8600 feet above sea level, its Ponderosa pine forests, high-altitude grasslands, and wetland vegetation are home to wildlife such as black bears, raccoons, skunks, rabbits, squirrels, deer, elk, coyotes, snakes, and bald eagles.

is a high-adventure camp located near Cimmaron, New Mexico. The trip consists of a rigorous 12 day backpacking trek from June 20th through July 2nd, 2011. In the fall of 2009 T-140 applied for 2 crews to go to Philmont in 2012. There is a lottery system for this high demand Scout adventure, you have to apply nearly 2 years in advance. Late in October 2010 we got a surprise call saying that we were going to have the chance to send two crews in June of 2011. Clck "Read More" for details

Troop 140 is located in the Sienna Plantation area of Missouri City, TX. Our first meeting was January, 2005.

Our troop is boy-led because we are strongly committed to the development of a Scout’s leadership skills. It is our troop’s desire for every Scout to develop into an Eagle Scout, so our immediate objective is for each new Scout to achieve First Class rank in their first year in the troop.

We meet weekly and generally camp every month except August. Camping opportunities will include State Parks and Scout camps, with facilities and trails for hiking and primitive camping. We also enjoy backpacking and canoeing. We attended summer camp in 2010 at Camp Rainey Mountain in Georgia, and we participated in winter camp in Dec. of 2010 at Camp Purtle in Texas.

Charter Organization: Sienna Plantation Community Services Foundation

Meeting Location: The Harvest Church (Sienna Plantation across from Baines MS)

Meeting Time:Mondays 7:00-8:30 PM
