Flags Across Sienna
About
The Flags Across Sienna (FAS) program is a patriotic fund-raising project for Boy Scout Troop and Crew 140 of Sienna Plantation.
You can enjoy an American Flag displayed in your yard, from dawn to dusk, 6 times throughout the year. Sienna’s own Troop and Crew 140 will install a SPRAI-approved hidden ground sleeve for the flag pole in your front yard and proudly display the flag on six holidays throughout the year.
We adhere to the US CODE’s time and occasion for display of the flag (Title 36, Chapter 10, Section 174, Paragraph a):
“It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open. However, when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness.”

Inclement Weather Policy
Safety First!
Flags Across Sienna use all-weather flags so a little (or a lot) of rain won’t hurt them. However, our first priority is the Safety of the Scouts and their families.
In the event of lighting, flooding, or other weather related conditions, the Flags Across Sienna flag team will use their best judgement if it is safe to put up or take down the flags in a timely manner. In some cases, this may result in a delay putting flags out or picking them up. Please know we will get to them as soon as it is safely possible.
